Holiday Party Pants Outfit with Cold Shoulder Top

Happy Wednesday! Welcome back to 25 Days of Winter Fashion! Cyndi and I are taking a break from outfit posts for a few days, and after the turkey is put away, holiday parties will be in full swing! Today I’m sharing a holiday party look that is appropriate for an at-home party or casual at-the-office holiday party.

Holiday Party Pants Outfit with Cold Shoulder Top

This cold shoulder top is cute and flattering, and it’s on sale for $41! It also comes in black, but you know I’m a sucker for this burgundy color. It’s flattering on most complexions, and it’s festive for the holidays.

What to Wear to an At-Home Holiday Party

You know me, my instinct is to wear jeans, but I wanted a dressier look so I styled it with my LOFT scuba skinny pants. I love the slim silhouette, and they have enough stretch to be comfortable. These pants fasten on the side so they don’t add any visual weight to the tummy area, and they also come in Petite and Tall sizes. Plus they are currently 40% off with code THANKS!

Because this top is obviously not designed to keep you warm in winter weather, I will probably wear a heavier coat — this black wool reefer coat would be perfect, but if you live in a warmer climate, you can get away with throwing a leather jacket over your shoulders. It was warm the day we took these pictures so I opted for the leather jacket.

What to Wear to an At-the-Office Christmas Party

When I went to the rewardStyle white party in Dallas last spring, almost everyone had a leather jacket thrown around their shoulders, overtop their cocktail attire. It’s a chic way to wear it, but it definitely doesn’t to much to keep you warm.

This one’s just for fun. This is my obligatory fashion blogger sitting on the curb picture. Haha!!

I carried my leopard clutch (on sale for 15% off at Shopbop – you can save up to 25% depending on how much you order) and I wore this chunky stone and pearl bracelet set. I LOVE this set. It’s too dressy for everyday, but it’s perfect for dressing up a going-out look, and it can be worn all year round.

Black pointy toe pumps seemed like the obvious shoe choice, although a metallic sandal or lace-up pump would be fun with this.

I’ve had this lariat collar necklace for a while, and I finally got a chance to wear it. I also think a black choker would be stunning with this outfit. If I had one, I probably would have worn it instead. I finished the look with my faux pearl earrings.

What to Wear to an At-the-Office Christmas Party

This is the type of outfit I wear to at-home holiday parties, or if you have an office party that doesn’t call for cocktail attire, this would be perfect for that too.

For a date night or GNO, I will wear this top with black jeans or even distressed blue jeans and probably my rounded-toe black suede pumps for a slightly more casual vibe. For size reference, the top is a small, and it is plenty big. Definitely size down if you’re thinking of ordering it.
