My Favorite Over-40 Fashion Blogs

People often ask me where I get my fashion inspiration. I subscribe to InStyle Magazine, and I love to peruse Pinterest for ideas, but my favorite place to get practical, wearable fashion inspiration is from the other over-40 fashion bloggers that I’ve befriended in recent years.

Best Over 40 Fashion Blogs

I figure if I like these blogs, you will probably like these blogs, so I decided to make a list of my favorite over-40 fashion bloggers. These are women who I think have great style and know how to make the current trends work in a way that is practical and age appropriate for regular women like you and me! I hope you find some fresh style inspiration here.

My Favorite Over-40 Fashion Blogs

Grace + Beauty: Cyndi Spivey is a pastor’s wife and mom of two grown children who lives in Kentucky. She started her style blog at the encouragement of her mother, to whom she dedicates her work. We met at a blogging conference several years ago, and we’ve been friends ever since. We share a similar style aesthetic and our faith in Christ. Cyndi share tips on fashion, makeup, and beauty for women over 40, as well as reminders that true beauty begins on the inside.

Mom Trends: Nicole Feliciano is a former Ralph Lauren exec who is always up on the latest trends, and she is one of my go-to style gurus as well as a friend and colleague. Momtrends is packed with fashion tips and trend reports aimed to help busy, style-starved women keep in touch with what’s hip and cool.

Get Your Pretty On: Alison Lumbatis is a stylist, life coach, and mom of three living in Texas. She started Get Your Pretty On in an effort to get out of her style rut, and now her goal is provide other women in a similar predicament with the inspiration, tools, and support to do the same.

Fabulous After 40: Deborah Boland is a former executive TV producer/host who started Fabulous After 40 after she found herself feeling frustrated trying to look stylish after 40. Her site caters to hip, mature women who want to look chic and fabulous, and she has great advice for women in their 40s, 50s and 60s.

Mama In Heels: Janise is a wife and mom who has always loved fashion and bargain shopping, and her site is about how she stays fashionable and healthy as she raises her twin boys. I discovered her blog through the Beauty Buzz linkup that is now extinct, and I love her chic, sophisticated style aesthetic.

Simply Lulu Style: Lulu is a local-to-me fashion blogger who I cannot believe I’ve never met. (We need to fix that!) I love her cool, casual vibe. She started her site to showcase the jewelry she was creating and then discovered that she liked creating outfits more than jewelry. She is another twin mom, and she loves good food almost as much as fashion.

My Rose Colored Shades: Cynthia is a wife and mom who writes about about discovering, recognizing, and appreciating the simple pleasures in life. I was first drawn to her site for her gorgeous colorful backgrounds, and I continue to be inspired by her creative outfit combinations as well as her food photography and the way she openly shares her faith.

Style Nudge: Cherie is a stylist and mother of 4 who loves to collect unique things. Her style is an eclectic mix of old and new, and she encourages women to try new ideas, play with their clothes, take style risks, and find their own style. She’s just the woman to give you the “nudge” to do that.

Mrs. American Made: After moving to Boulder, CO a few years ago, Ana Bogusky made a commitment to wearing more “Made in USA” outfits. She loves clothing and accessories, and making outfits is one of her favorite pastimes, so her website was born. I love Ana’s classic style and her focus on wearable fashion.

I hope you’ve found some fun new blogs to follow! If you have a favorite over-40 fashion blog, feel free to share in the comments.

  1. Thank you so much for featuring me in your blog, Jo-Lynne! I’m flattered to be considered one of your favorite style bloggers and I appreciate the company you put me in. I love your blog, and I must say I can totally relate to you saying that you are “the most outgoing introvert you’ll ever meet”. Me too!

  2. Hi Jo-Lynne. This has been so good for me as I recently turned 40 and need to start getting to know other 0ver 40 bloggers. Some of the above I already know but I’ve found some new ones too which is great. Thanks so much.

  4. Been a fan of Fashion Over 40 for quite some time. We are a mother-daughter team designing handcrafted beaded jewelry and have been blogging weekly for over a year. Mostly our readers seem to love the way we weave our jewelry into relevant diversified content and are happy that we recently expanded into the realm of fashion. So excited to see this list of fashion bloggers and looking forward to getting acquainted with them.

  5. Do you have any suggestions for “fashion over 30” blogs? I’m 32, and I haven’t found any fashion blogs (other than yours) that I really like!

  8. Hi JoLynne,
Somehow I missed this when it first appeared. Thanks so much for including me in the list. I’m honoured! I love your blog too and was so happy to profile you as one of my Fabulous After 40 Styleblazers! Cheers, Deborah

  9. There are a few familiar faces here, and some lovely new blogs to start reading! Thank you for sharing and showing that, just because we are ‘over’40 bloggers’ it doesn’t mean that we can’t have a fresh approach to fashion and lifestyle.
I’m also thrilled that a chunk of the blogs you have listed are not sticking to the ‘age appropriate’ route – don’t you just hate those two words! It’s brilliant to see so many of us celebrating our style in a unique and personal way.
Way to go the over 40 blogger!
    Michelle 🙂

  13. Hi Jo-Lynne!

This is a great list – thanks for posting! My friend and I started a blog this year for women over 40 – we post about nearly all things related to fashion, cosmetics, cocktails, healthy eats, books, and parenting teens. If you get a chance take a look at our blog http://www.nearlyallthings.com and let us know what you think! Thanks so much!

  14. Great list and I definitely found some new blogs to check out. I loved seeing some new blogs and fresh faces. Here’s an update for the post for ‘Fashion Over 40’ in 2020: https://glamourandgainsbyeve.com

I love both a good sale and designer pieces and link wherever I can throughout my blog via LikeToKnow.it. Don’t think you have to dress age appropriately; wear what you like, what makes you feel good, is occasion appropriate and have fun with it!
