Wishing You and Yours a Very Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to pop in and wish you all a Merry Christmas!

I’m the only one up right now, just sitting here with my coffee, waiting on the rest of the house to rise and shine. I love this time of day with all the anticipation of the excitement to come. Even though my kids are big, we still keep everything a surprise, and they’re still young enough to get excited… well, my son notsomuch, but I think that’s more of a personality thing than an age thing. I dread the day when they all sleep in and there’s no one to run downstairs in a flurry of excitement on Christmas morning.

After we have our presents, we’ll go to church, and then we’ll come home to have dinner with my in-laws. It should be a nice, quiet celebration — the calm before the storm, so to speak, because tomorrow we’ll have our big family gathering. Fun times!

I hope you’re having a lovely Christmas Day with your family and friends!

For unto you is born this day in the city of D a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:11-14

  4. Merry Christmas!! I don’t always get a chance to comment, but I love your blog and have learned a lot. I, too, am sitting here waiting for my “kids” to wake up. They are 19 and 22 , so as hard as it is to believe, I know there won’t be many more Christmas mornings like this when wake up in this house and before we know it they will have families of their own. Enjoy the day with your family!

  5. Merry Christmas! I have enjoyed my first year waking up each morning reading your blog. It’s always so upbeat and full of love for your family and God. The way you share yourself and donate all your time to help others is very much appreciated. Not everyone has a job that helps others on a daily basis. Merry Christmas and I look forward to reading your advice in the years to come.
