What I Wore: Fleece Front Hoodie + Cargo Pants

Hey guys, welcome back to my 27 Days of Spring Fashion with Cyndi Spivey!

I truly appreciate all the comments yesterday when I asked for opinions on the blouse. I always find it fascinating to hear all the different perspectives. I’m going to give it a try with white jeans and heels, maybe with a front-tuck, but I think this is one of those “if in doubt, do without” situations — especially at that price.

Our heatwave broke, and the weather feels more like March this morning. Brrrr. Today’s outfit probably doesn’t seem very spring-like, but I was wearing it one day last week, so I asked my husband to snap a few pictures. This is how I typically dress this time of year because it’s usually still quite chilly in Philly in March. Most of the spring outfits I’ve been featuring are ones I’ll wear in April and May.

Outfit Details:
Prism Fleece Front Hoodie $98 | J.Crew Perfect Fit Tank $19
similar skinny cargo pants $35 | Converse Shoreline $49
my Stella & Dot Pave Sphinx Ring $29 and Engravable Disk Necklace $69
Alex & Ani Wire Bangles | Black Moto Hobo $325
Nails: CND Studio White

This is the Alo Yoga Prism Fleece Front Hoodie that I shared last week as part of a workout outfit. I find myself going for this hoodie any chance I get because it’s so soft and easy to wear. I’ve been wearing it over my exercise clothes every time I go to PT or a strength training workout, and I love that I can wear it with street clothes too.

I finally washed it (I laid it flat to dry, even though it says it can go in the dryer) and it washed up beautifully and didn’t shrink or fade at all.

For a casual day working from home, I wore the Fleece Front Hoodie over a grey tank with my cargo skinny pants from Stitch Fix (similar here.)

Speaking of Stitch Fix, I just ordered a new Fix, and it should be arriving any day. I’m excited to see what they send me this time! It can be hit or miss, but I’ve found some great pieces with them (these pants are a prime example) and with several events coming up, I thought it would be fun to see what they find for me.

I added the Converse for a sporty look.

This easy outfit is perfect for my casual work-at-home life. I feel cute and put together but still comfortable.

To keep it fun, I threw on some accessories. The Pave Sphinx Ring and Engravable Disk Necklace are from my Stella & Dot boutique, and my Alex & Ani Wire Bangles I’ve collected from various places (some were gifted by the brand.)

I carried my black R Minkoff Moto Hobo when I ran errands later that day. I managed to snag this gorgeous bag at 50% off last fall. It was one of those layered sales, and I’m so glad I grabbed it because it’s been full price almost ever since. I know, I say this about every bag I own, but I rarely pay full price for a designer bag.

As I mentioned the other day, Macy’s has an awesome sale going on right now — take an EXTRA 25% off with code VIP. It includes most of their designer handbags, and some are at nice discounts. They don’t carry R Minkoff, unfortunately, but there are many other nice brands if you’re in the market for a new investment bag.

I’ll definitely be wearing this outfit a few more times this spring, and it will be great for next fall too!

  1. You hit the ball out of the park with this outfit! I’m so glad your husband is home safe and sound. It’s in the mid 60’s here in GA today, going up into the 70’s, so outside no jacket is needed.

    Have a blessed day!

  2. Stitch Fix is rather like a game of roulette, isn’t it? But I have to say, those cargo pants are most certainly successful!! Love how they fit and curve instead of cling and hug as some brands are wont to. You look very very cool, Jo-lynne 🙂

  3. You look cute, comfy, and very put together. I love the added bangles over your sleeve. Very cute!
I often wonder what nail polish you are wearing, so thank you for sharing.
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. You look great! I went to Nordstrom Rack today and they had a ton of Alex and Ani bracelets for about half the price.
