Simplify Your Summer Vacation Packing with Olay Daily Facials

Summertime is in full swing around here and we’re gearing up for two family vacations next month, so today I’m teaming up with Olay to talk about how to simplify your vacation packing.

One of our upcoming trips is spending a week with my parents at their lake-side vacation home in Maine, and the other is a week at the Jersey shore. We’re renting a house just a few blocks off the beach. When I’m on these types of vacations, I’m all about making things easy. I rarely wear makeup and I like to spend a lot of time relaxing and reading.

While I tend to be an over-packer, I try to keep it light when I know that all I’m going to be doing is hanging out with the family at the beach or the lake. I mean, all I really need is a couple of bathing suits, two or three pairs of neutral shorts, and then a variety of tops I can mix and match with the shorts. I also try to pack things that can do double duty, like a dress I can wear as a swimsuit coverup or to go out to eat.

Once you have your clothing squared away, it’s time to pack toiletries. A great way to simplify your vacation packing for any destination is with these Olay Daily Facials Daily Clean 4-in-1 Activated Cloths.

I was first introduced to these cleansing cloths a few months ago when Olay invited me to take a break from my regular skincare routine to test them out and share my experience with you.

I liked them so much that I’ve continued to use them several times a week, and lately I find myself going for them almost daily because they’re so easy to use and get the job done with a lot less time and effort than your typical 3 or 4 part skincare system.

What I especially love about these cleansing cloths is that they’re water activated. They come in a box, but they are dry until you wet one under the faucet. Once you get it wet, you just rub it together to create a moisturizing lather and then gently cleanse your face as normal. You can even use it around the eyes.

Then rinse the cloth, wring it out, and use it to wipe your face clean. I do follow up with moisturizer because I have super dry skin, but the cloths do not leave my face feeling dry and tight like most cleaners do. In fact, when I’m done, my face feels so smooth and soft, you’d think I just had a facial.

Before I tried Olay Daily Facials, my only experience with makeup wipes was rather unimpressive. The ones I used in the past were fine in a pinch, but they didn’t get my face really clean and I would always find dirt and makeup residue on my cotton ball when I applied toner afterwards. These are different because they’re specially textured with soft cleansing pockets to gently break up and lift away dirt, oil, and makeup – even mascara – for a clean that is two times better than basic cleansing.

It’s the water-activation feature that makes these cleansing cloths especially convenient for travel. Just throw a stack of the dry cloths in your makeup bag, and you don’t have to worry about anything leaking or deal with liquids during airport security.

Best of all, they eliminate the need to bring along a toner, mask, or exfoliating scrub. It’s a great way to simplify your packing and keep your vacation skincare routine quick and easy as well.

When I’m on vacation, the last thing I want to do is spend a lot of time putting on makeup. In fact, there are a lot of summer days even here at home that I skip the rigmarole and go makeup-free. Olay’s Daily Facials cleansing cloths are the first step to getting a radiant no-makeup look because they leave your skin clean, hydrated, and smooth, leaving you more time to relax and enjoy the view.

  1. I had bought some after your last post about them, have used them often, and just used them last week on an overnight girls getaway! Makes for such easy packing! Totally agree that they leave your face clean and comfortable too. I’m excited to hear about your trip to the Jersey shore!

  2. They sound great, I’ll have to give them a try. I generally use my forming face cleanser, then wipe with my toner, but now and then I get lazy, these sound like the perfect cleanser for my lazy nights! One of my favorite pictures you’ve posted of Maine, is the last one, with you sitting in the Adirondack chair, with the sunset. The colors are just beautiful! I’m sure you’re excited to get the vaca going, Maine is my favorite state. There is just something about Maine……

  3. I would like to order this product you are talking about along with some other products. Can we just order from this website? Thanks for sharing. These wipes look easy to use and sounds like they really clean your face.

  4. I bought these on your last suggestion and I agree.. they are amazing! One of my sample boxes also sent me the Olay Regenerist overnight mask that I use afterwards most nights. I wake up with the most amazing skin in the morning.

  5. These cleansing cloths sound perfect for when I travel to Europe since I tend to take along my own face cloths anyway. Thanks for sharing, Jo-Lynne!
