Lucky Brand: More than Denim

I’m so excited to partner with Lucky Brand for today’s post. They are to thank (or to blame, depending on who you ask, haha!) for introducing me to premium denim many moons ago. I remember stopping into their store at the mall one evening after a long night of unsuccessful jeans shopping. I was frustrated and ready to give up, but a peppy sales associate whisked me into the dressing room and started bringing me different styles to try. She guided me to the best fit for my body and advised me on proper sizing, and I left feeling like a new woman.

I think we can all attest that there’s nothing like a great-fitting pair of jeans to make you feel attractive and confident. If you have access to a Lucky Brand store, definitely stop in sometime. They have well-trained fitters who are experts at guiding you to the right fit and size for your body type and personal style.

In addition to great fitting jeans, Lucky Brand also makes a wide variety of clothing and accessories. Over the years, I’ve had a few of their tops, and more recently I purchased a couple pairs of their booties. Their classic American style is casual and vintage-inspired and a little bit rock-and-roll — in other words, right up my alley!

When I went shopping for this post, I was immediately drawn to the sweaters. I may have bought several. Ooops! I think my favorite is this layered lace mix sweater in raspberry radiance. A layered sweater is awesome because you get the layered look with none of the bulk, and I love how the lace detail around the bottom of this one adds a pretty, feminine touch. This sweater comes in 7 colors, and for size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I accessorized with this mixed metal pendant and coordinating earrings, and I love how much detail is in each piece. Even the chain on the necklace is beaded to compliment the pendant. I’ve already worn both pieces several times with other outfits. It’s nice how they can stand alone or be worn together, and the mixed metals and hint of bling make them great for dressing up or down. They’re definitely going to be some of my go-to accessories this winter.

I also picked up this chevron shine sweater. With its metallic accents, it’s a fun piece for everyday, but it would be great for a casual holiday party as well. I can totally see it dressed up with black velvet or faux leather pants.

Layered Sweater

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in both sweaters. I actually think this one has a slightly more flattering fit than the lace one. The lace detail on the first sweater draws attention to the hips and midsection, so if that is an area you’d rather not highlight, this Chevron Shine Sweater is probably more forgiving. Both have a nice, wide round neck that is flattering on almost any body type, and they are soft and comfortable to wear.

This layered sweater also comes in white, and I was tempted to order that one, but in the end, I went with the black to create a monochromatic outfit with the faded black jeans and black suede booties.

When it comes to skinnies, I’m a huge fan of legging jeans, and these do not disappoint. They are super soft and mold to your curves, and the faded black wash has a great lived-in look and feel. These run true to size. I’m wearing my regular 29.

I also love this Lucky Brand handbag. All of their handbags are made with artisanal leather and other vintage-inspired materials, and this grey leather shoulder bag is absolutely gorgeous. I wish it were a little easier to open and close, but that button flap might loosen up over time.

This bag is large enough for your daily essentials, but not big enough to be cumbersome, making it a nice everyday bag. It also has an adjustable strap so you can wear it as a crossbody if you wish.

One more helpful tip to know, shipping is free over $50, and returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of your order date. I also like that they have the Shoprunner option for shipping. I got my order in two days!

  1. That chevron shine sweater is really something different!! I’m not usually one who loves matching it, but it look so great with those jeans!!
I haven’t been in a Lucky store lately–but I should check them out again—they usually have such a great selection of jeans!

    ps…no link up today?

  2. How neat you partnered with Lucky Brand! I’m definitely a big LB fan. They have fantastic sales -especially if you subscribe to emails, and I really love that they have shoprunner (although shipping is usually super fast even without it).

Love both of these outfits too by the way! That raspberry color is so gorgeous on you!

  3. I love Lucky Brand clothes for summer. I don’t associate sweaters with the brand. Can you tell me how long the necklace is? I couldn’t find it on the web site. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend!

  4. I love the color of the lace sweater, and it looks so good on you! It looks very magenta on my screen. On the Lucky website it looks more red. Which is a more accurate description of the color?

    1. I’d say it is somewhere in between. I definitely see raspberry, not red, but I think the colors on the screen may be more vibrant than it is in person, with the way the morning sun was banking off the trees.

  5. Oh wow! Two stunning looks. I’m always partial to pink, but that chevron sweater is gorgeous! Sounds like you definitely have a fun Friday going on! And our PA weather is supposed to be beautiful today, followed by the not so nice weather. Oh, well, tis that time of the year!

  6. Love the boots… very cute! I think i will go in a Lucky Brand store and see if they can find some jeans that would work for me! You look fantastic, by the way… and I may have to purchase that necklace.

  7. You look great today! Both sweaters look like wordrobe essentials for you. Your hair turned out really cute too. It’s been so windy here, that it’s had to keep our hair respectable . Our cold weather is coming in tomorrow and we will be in winter clothes. YEA!
I haven’t shopped at the Lucky stores for myself. It was a spot for my kids years ago but they always had good quality. Looks like I may need to stop in.
It might be me but I didn’t see your Friday Link- Up today.
Have fun with the girls this evening!

  8. I love these looks!! You always style thing so nicely and give me lots of inspiration. I really like Lucky too, tho there jeans don’t work for me. I love the raspberry sweater.

  9. Great color on you!

it’s funny somebody said they don’t associate lucky with winter. That’s all I think about. Big sweaters and boots.

Now I’m intrigued about their summer stuff! I love lucky
