For the Love of Boots!

You know how I love boots. I have a bit of an obsession with shoes in general, but I simply can’t have too many pairs of boots — much to my husband’s horror when he tries to enter our walk-in closet!

Even now, with, ahem, an extensive collection of boots in my possession, I have yet another pair of boots on my Watch List.

WHAT!!? You don’t have a Watch List?

On my current Watch List is a really great pair of dressy black boots. The Dankso ones that I show in my Daily Mom Style posts so often are nice for everyday wear, and you can dress them up to a point, but I find myself wanting a pair of boots to wear on those occasions when you just need a kickass pair of dressy boots. I have actually been looking for a pair of boots to fit the bill for several years, and I’ve never found exactly what I want (or at least, not when I have the budget for them.)

I’ve noticed some really great boot sales going on right now around the Interwebs, so I thought I’d share some with you in case you, like me, have a  pair of boots on your Watch List. If you don’t now, you might after reading this post!

  1. I love boots too! My favorite boot (and shoe) designer is John Fluevog. He’s a Canadian designer and his boots aren’t made in China but in factories in exotic locations with fair working conditions. I love telling people that a pair of Fluevogs I own are Peruvian! 🙂

    Here’s his boots:

    My current fave?

    And these too:

And no word of a lie, his stuff is comfortable. I wore a pair of his high heeled boots (they are awesome, corset lace up the back) all over Manhattan a couple of weeks ago :).

  2. The best boots I own are a pair of low wedges that are warm and stylish and comfy and PERFECT. I wish I would’ve bought two pair when I got them so I could have a back up for when these wear out.

  3. I love the look of boots but between inheriting my Dad’s family’s calves and varicose veins swelling issues tall boots are practically impossible to find a pair that even zip up all the way. I do looove those grey ones from Nordstrom!

  4. This die hard yankee just ordered herself a pair of COWGIRL boots! I am officially boot obsessed 🙂

  5. Hands down, my favorite boots are a pair of black wedge boots from Boden. I stalked them for two years and bought them last year on sale. Comfy and perfect with skirts, jeggings or leggings.

  6. The Via Spiga boots are gorgeous and would fit the bill for what you’re looking for, I think. I still love my Michelle D boots I bought a few years ago–in black and brown.

  7. I have never been into boots but wish I was! I think part of it is that I hate skinny jeans and my calves seem to be to big for boots to zip up. So with my bigger calves and bulky “non-skinny” jeans I just have never tried many boots on. I do have one pair of short boots that I wear about 1 time a year because they are REALLY uncomfortable. Now that we live in AL, it is not really cold enough for boots. All this to say I wish I liked boots as much as you do!

  8. I love boots too!! I scored a gorgeous pair of Cole Hann at Nordstrom Rack about 1/2 off last month and I am still overjoyed about them!! The Nike Air part of them really help! I work them for a work even standing all day and by the end my feet didn’t hurt even a tiny bit!
