I have to confess, it is getting old trying to style outfits around this boot. If I thought it was helping and I was getting better, I’d have more patience with it, but frankly, my foot hurts worse than ever and it’s starting to get me down. But a girl’s still gotta get dressed (most days) so here are some of the outfits I’ve worn this week — the ones worth posting, anyway. Shopping links are provided through my affiliate partners.

Last week was chilly. AGAIN. I wore this ivory sweater and cigarette-leg jeans. I think I was going to get my EMG that day. Good times. The necklace and bracelet stack are from LOFT. I thought the soft pastel tones worked nicely off the ivory sweater. Same with the tan tote with cream handles. I’m all for a pop of color, but sometimes it’s nice to stay within the same color palette for a change.

And I wore the beige pumps because I liked how they worked with the light-neutral tones in the outfit, and also because they’re the perfect height to offset that ugly boot.

I have no recollection of where I went this day, but these are my new CAbi pigment dyed jeggings, and I really love them. The smaller size came in, and they’re still a bit roomy but I like that they’re comfortable. I thought my Elodie necklace was the perfect compliment to this outfit and pulls the green and coral together.

I opted for my Romy wedge sandals rather than the pumps because it was a warmer day.

This top is also from CAbi. Unfortunately it is old and I can’t find anything similar to link you too. It has two layers of t-shirt material, which I find to be very forgiving if you have any lumps and bumps you don’t want to draw attention to. Whenever you see shirts made with the two layers like this one, snatch them up! They’re hard to find. The jeggings ARE part of the current spring collection and can be purchased directly through a CAbi consultant. If you don’t have one, you can find one online. I received these as a part of a blogging promotion.

It finally warmed up. YAY! This outfit is nothing special, but I include it because this is real life I’m living here and this is what I wear most of the time. Same cigarette-leg jeans from above, but this time I cuffed them for a more casual vibe.

Casual Summer Outfit

And the tank is from Old Navy. I love Old Navy for casual summer tops. I stock up every spring, and this is the time to do it. They’re running a 25% off regular priced items and 15% off sale items through the end of today only!! I added this super pretty necklace designed and handmade by my friend Lisa at Studio Jewel. I have a hard time finding tops that work with this necklace, and I love dressing up an otherwise casual outfit with a special piece of jewelry.

This was my church outfit on Sunday, and then I removed the jacket for our family cookout that afternoon. It’s pretty much the same outfit I wore a couple of weeks ago on Mother’s Day, but I changed out the handbag and jewelry for a patriotic color scheme. I wore my Stella & Dot Sardinia Earrings for the first time. LOVE THESE. They are so cute with the coordinating bracelet.

The sunlight was doing some crazy things to these photos. I did the best I could to salvage them with Photoshop, but it’s like there’s a film over them. At any rate, here is the full length outfit. Please note the red toenails. It’s the little things . . .

Red White and Blue Fashion

This red bag was a Nordstrom Rack splurge a few years ago. I rarely have occasion to carry it (no clue why; you’d think a red bag would be a staple, right??) Anyway, it was perfect for turning this navy-and-white striped dress into a patriotic outfit for Memorial Day!

And that’s a wrap!

  1. I really, really love that ivory LOFT top. It’s been so long since I bought anything there so I don’t know if their XLs would be big enough for me, but with 50% off right now on that I’m tempted to buy it for myself and try! I love the neutrals in that outfit. Gorgeous!

  2. I’m sorry your foot is still hurting, and that that darned boot isn’t helping 🙁 You continue to inspire me to get my act together and dress things up a bit and I always feel better when I do. It’s been very, very cold here but I bought a pair of wedge sandals the other day that I love! There is plenty of hope for us fifty year olds!

  3. sorry about your foot, but still, you look stylish! 🙂

  4. Great job with your outfits. My daughter has a boot and it Is a total pain. No shoes are tall enough to even out her walk. Ugh! And she has to wear a knee high with her’s per the dr no cute toenails like yours. And her boot is up to the knee. Hope yours helps you soon.
