Denim Trends for Fall 2013

denim trends for fall

You know how I love my denim, and this year denim is more fun than ever. If you’re a risk taker in the fashion department, you’re going to love these looks. I’m not exactly a risk taker, but I do like to keep my look current so I’ll probably be incorporating a few of these trends into my wardrobe this winter.

We’ve gotten used to the colored denim trend, and we all know that printed denim is hot this season. But have you seen coated denim? Two-tone denim? Patchwork denim?

Take a look!

5 Hot Denim Trends for Fall 2013

1. Coated Denim

I love how coated denim has the look of leather without the price tag — or the discomfort. You can wear them with a blazer and ankle boots to tone down the look and keep it classy, or you can go all out and wear a fabulous top and heels for a night on the town. These are New York & Company Zip Pocket Coated Denim Skinny Jeans.

2. Two-Tone Denim

These jeans have two different colors or patterns on the front and back. They’re fun and unexpected, but I’m not sure if they’re my cuppa tea.

As usual, if I were to try this trend, I would take the subtle approach and probably try a tone-on-tone look first to see if I like it. These are the Emily Leather Panel Pants by Paige. They are no where NEAR in my budget, but they give you an idea what they look like when done well.

3. Studded Denim

This is where I will say, a little goes a long way. Check out these Instaglam Studded Skinny Jeans by Blank NYC. They could be fun for a night on the town. Picture them with a dressy silver blouse and black pumps!

4. Camo

I love this trend for its casual cool vibe. You can dress them up or down. I prefer them dressed down with a simple gray tee and Chuck Taylors. I was eyeing up these camo skinny jeans at the Gap last weekend.

5. Moto

The zipper detailing and stitching makes this trend edgy and fun. I really like these Moto Jeggings at American Eagle Outfitters.

I also love those shoes. But I digress…
