It’s been a drab week here in the style department. It doesn’t help that it’s been rainy and cold. Bah humbug. A couple of days I just didn’t have time to grab a photo, and a couple of days I was a schlump and wore yoga pants all day. But this is what I DO have.

day 1

I wore this outfit to run some errands with the kids and work from home. The asymmetrical sweater is lightweight and works well over my favorite black tank. I wore my more casual jeans and a pair of bronze-colored ballet flats from Aldo. I threw on this multi-toned metal necklace from Studio Jewel in an attempt to jazz up an otherwise plain outfit.

day 2

This outfit is so easy to wear, and I feel like it looks a bit nicer than my average mom uniform. I picked up this color-blocked sweater at the Banana Republic Factory Outlet last week when I visited the Tanger Outlets as a brand ambassador. The dark skinny jeans are by Paige; they were part of my shopping spree that was sponsored by Eyeona just before the BlogHer Conference. (Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job!?)

I’m thinking this outfit could use some accessories — perhaps a necklace or a scarf.

day 3

I picked up this dress at the Banana Republic Factory Outlet as well, and I wore it with black tights and black Dansko boots to church on a very cold, dank and dreary Sunday. Since the dress is has so much going on, I didn’t wear a necklace, but I settled on a pair of large, thin silver hoop earrings and a delicate silver bracelet.

day 4

Finally, I wore this around the house and running errands yesterday. Same dark jeans as above, gray striped top and black hooded cardigan sweater. The necklace and silver flats were my weak attempt to brighten up the outfit. HA! I’m telling you, when it’s cold and damp out, I have a hard time motivating myself to wear color.

Let’s hope this next week the weather (and my outfits) are looking a little bit brighter!
