These decadent bars are fabulous for potluck gatherings because they travel well.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cups peanut butter and chocolate morsels
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 325. Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 1/3 cup sugar thoroughly; press onto bottom of ungreased 13×9-inch pan.
  2. Microwave 1 cup morsels for 1 minute or until just melted; set aside.
  3. Beat cream cheese, sugar and flour until smooth. Gradually beat in evaporated milk, eggs and vanilla. Stir 1 cup cheese mixture into chocolate/peanut butter mixture.
  4. Pour the remaining cheese mixture over crust.
  5. Then pour the cheese/chocolate/peanut butter mixture on top of that.
  6. Take a spoon and swirl around the mixtures a little.
  7. Bake 35 minutes; take out of oven and sprinkle remaining morsels on top. Bake another 5 minutes.
  8. Let cool 15 minutes; refrigerate 2 hours. Cut into squares and serve!

  1. Um, did you not read that I am trying to get “two weeks hotter” for my date night? This does not help. I will delay thinking of these until after said date night.

  2. Oh yum, oh yum, oh yum!!! Why did you have to post this NOW (I’m off sugar for a month to break the addiction) instead of last week (when I was still eating sweets like a mad woman)? Hee hee! Can’t wait to try this…next month!

  3. WOW – that looks awesome! Will be trying it this weekend. I also wanted to say “thanks” for the terrific post about creating a new background … used it this morning – and after a couple of false starts managed to “get it done”! SO, thanks so much, and you made the blogging world a little ‘sandier’ this morning!

  4. oh. my. goodness. do those look Dee-lish!

Will have to try them for my own party for 70 (family reunion) coming up in two weeks! Or maybe as my contribution to the dessert table at my nephew’s grad open house this weekend! Or both! 🙂

  5. I just put this recipe into my WW recipe builder…. EVIL!!!! if you cut the pan into 20 it is STILL 6pts per bar and that is with fat free cream cheese and fat free milk… UGH!!! any such thing as fat free butter??? LOL 😉

At least doing that made me take the ingredients off my grocery list… lol

  6. These look absolutely amazing.

I’m going to have to wait to make them AFTER I squeeze myself into a bathing suit in Florida next weekend though!!! 😉

  7. Helllooooooooo? Am I the ONLY one who actually MADE these??

I have a confession to make. I’d been thinking about making something for the neighbors for so graciously inviting Stink to swim several times in the past few weeks. I’ve been promising the kids cookies, so I’d considered doubling the batch and sending those over, but I just can’t bring myself to part with a good Tollhouse. Ever.

So when I saw this recipe, I thought, “I’d like to try those, but we do NOT need an entire pan of these sitting around.” Bingo!

So, I made them “for the neighbors” with the intention of keeping just a few for us.

Ahhhhhh…… well….. let’s just say the neighbors may be getting Tollhouse cookies after all.

    For real.

    YUM.
