Hi, it’s Colleen again, and today I have a special guest… Meet my “Little Chef”, Samantha. Samantha is 9 years old, and she is a wiz in the kitchen! She loves to cook and has been known to take over my food blog from time to time!
Here is what Samantha had to say (she talks and I type):
Hi, it’s Samantha! I love to cook and bake; my mom and me have so much fun in the kitchen! When my mom said she was going to be making a recipe with noodles and salmon, it sounded really good to me and I asked her if I could do it. She said yes and right away I knew I had to make it for my cousin Skylar, who is also 9, her favorite food is salmon AND she loves pasta just-like-me!
I came home from school and got everything I needed to make this dish all set up.
I invited my cousin over for dinner and began to make the dish using the Knorr® Herb & Butter Noodles, which are really good! I like the sauce and the size of the noodles. I started to cook the noodles, then I added in the salmon, peas, dill and lemon peel.
Can you believe it only took me 10 minutes to make this? This was the easiest dinner I ever made! I carried a plate to Skylar, watched her try it.
She jumped up and said “I LOVE this”!! So I asked her for a taste and I really liked it so I got myself a plate and I ate it all! Then, Connor (my brother) wanted some and HE ate the whole plate. My mom said wow! 3 kids just ate their whole plate!
This was so easy to make and so yummy, after I finished I asked my mom if I could make it again…and she said yes!
Next time you don’t know what to have for dinner, just get the ingredients and make this, I think you will reeaally like it!
It’s Colleen, and I have to agree with Samantha, to put such a pretty dish of food on the table in 10 minutes flat was fantastic! Weeknights especially, many of us are overwrought with homework, sports, activities, showers and more, getting something on the table for our families we feel good about is often a challenge. Pasta, peas and salmon, cooked in 10 minutes flat and in one dish…what’s not to love?
Samantha has already asked me to get the ingredients for her to make this again!
