Real Food Recipe Roundup Week 2

Welcome to the Real Food Recipe Roundup, a collaboration between Musings of a Housewife and Sassy Moms in the City!

If you’re looking for my gluten-free meal plan and recipe roundup, don’t run away!!! I have expanded the link-up to include all recipes made from real whole foods, not just gluten-free. And I’m super excited to be joining forces with Alison from Sassy Moms in the City, who is my new co-host for the Real Food Recipe Roundup. The linkup is below, and the giveaway is being hosted at her place this week.

Here’s what we’re eating this week at our house.

Weekly Meal Plan

MONDAY: Tuscan Lemon Chicken with warm potato salad and steamed green beans

TUESDAY: White Bean & Bacon Soup

WEDNESDAY: Marinated Grilled London Broil with quinoa and sautéed swiss chard

THURSDAY: leftovers

FRIDAY: dinner at my brother’s house!

We will be traveling for Easter weekend. I’m looking forward to visiting with my brother and his family before they head south to spend time with his in-laws. We will spend the rest of the weekend with my parents, which means I don’t have to cook. YAY! Happy Easter!

What are you eating this week?

If you missed it last week, our giveaway for a gourmet foodie bag from NOW Foods is still open! Visit Sassy Moms in the City to enter the giveaway!

    Hi Jo-Lynne,

Loving the Real Food theme with your new weekly link up! I’m playing a bit of catch up and added 3 links this week. Tips on How To Cook Roast Beef, How to Make Date Paste and a recipe for Sprouted Lentil Quinoa Salad. Have a great week :-)

Thanks for hosting! I need recipe inspiration desperately. I haven’t been cooking much, much less planning our menus.

Quick Question: Do you use a whole chicken for the grilled lemon chicken recipe? Any tips for flattening it? I’ve seen this recipe before but I keep putting it aside because flattening the chicken seems difficult for some reason. :)

I use boneless, skinless chicken breasts! I just put them to marinating. :-) i plan to take pix and post to the blog. But basically, I just use it as I would any other marinade and grill the chicken breasts as normal. :-)
