Last Minute Gift Idea for Teachers

Last Minute Teacher Gift Idea

A few weeks ago I saw these adorable gift tags (with a free printable) on She Wears Many Hats. I pinned it and put it in the back of my mind.

I always contribute generously to the classroom teacher gifts, but I still like to give something personal so usually I make candy or fudge and give it along with a personal note. But this year has been absolutely insane, and I knew home-baked goodies were just not happening. I planned to give bags stuffed with Hershey’s Peppermint Bark Bells (which are my newest obsession, by the way; those things are SO addictive!!) using these clever gift tags.

But then I got the brilliant idea to order cupcakes from our local Iced By Betsy cupcake shop and use the gift tags on those!

The cupcakes are only about $2.50 a piece, so I can easily buy one for every teacher and service provider on my list without breaking the bank. I’m sure cellophane bags with Hershey’s bells would have been just as cute and appreciated, but I really love doing something different and (hopefully) unexpected. At least, it is unexpected unless said teacher reads my blog. Then all bets are off. Even then, I’m sure they will still be delighted to receive a cupcake tied with a ribbon and a festive gift tag. Wouldn’t you??

I mean seriously, how CUTE are these!??
