Updating My Springtime Beauty Routine with Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizers

I think springtime is finally here to stay, and I’m happy to say buh-bye to dry, itchy skin. I was literally scratching my legs raw this past winter, and then not only did I have itchy legs, I had itchy legs with scabs. Pretty!

And let’s not talk about my face. Dry, itchy patches around my eyes drove me nuts. I’ve always had dry skin issues, but for some reason this year it was much worse than normal. I don’t know if it’s due to my running or what but I am happy to bid adieu to a long, cold winter!

Not only does springtime mean saying good-bye to dry skin and cold temperatures, but it also means it’s time to shake up the beauty routine. Do you switch up your beauty routine with the seasons?? If not, definitely consider making a few basic changes.

For example, I’ve already switched out my thick skin creams and for lighter lotions. Now that the weather’s not as drying, the thicker creams tend to feel greasy and heavy on my legs and arms. I like the lotions that come in a pump so they’re quick and easy to apply.

Another thing to consider is your makeup. I usually change my foundation for the warmer months from a heavy cream foundation to a mineral powder foundation, and of course I have to go get a darker color to match my new “tan”. I also like to get a new eye shadow palette, and springtime definitely calls for a brighter lipstick. This season red is actually a popular lip color — but make sure to get the right shade for your skin tone if you want to go this route. I prefer a pink or coral, myself.

Don’t forget to use a facial moisturizer with sunscreen. Assuming that you’ll be spending more time outdoors, it’s a good idea to apply sunscreen every morning even if you don’t wear much makeup. I’m not one to slather sunscreen all over my body unless I’m going to be in the sun for over an hour, but I definitely like to keep my face protected.

My springtime beauty regimen also includes regular pedicures. You can do them at home or to go a reputable salon, but don’t be that girl with the dry, cracked heels in her cute summer sandals!

I’ve started exfoliating and applying sunless tanner religiously. I’m still using the Jergens Natural Glow, but I find that the regular formula isn’t providing enough of a tan so I’m now using the 3 Days to Glow, Medium to Tan Skin Tones and I’m really pleased with how that’s working for me. When I was at Mom 2.0, I applied it every day and by the end of my trip, I looked like I had been sunning myself at the beach rather than attending conference sessions indoors.

I love how they have different formulas for different levels of tan. The one for fair to medium skin tones works great in the wintertime when I just want a hint of color, but the one for medium to tan skin tones is great for spring and summer when I prefer to look like I just got back from the beach.

Jergens makes it easier than ever to glow with their Natural Glow Moisturizers that provides great color, year-round, without any icky sunless tanner odor.
