Instagram Roundup 01.10.17

Good morning, friends! It’s the first Instagram Roundup of 2017!

Instagram Roundup 01-10-17

This is mostly what I actually wearing on a daily basis, although I also share some outfits from my blog posts as well. Unfortunately, this time of year, a lot of what I’m wearing has sold out, or the colors and sizes are picked over, but it still might give you ideas for shopping your closet and putting new outfits together.

As you know, I tend to wear the same uniform a lot — a pullover, skinny jeans, and ballet flats is my go-to this time of year — but I’m trying to get better about mixing it up. I also joined an Instagram challenge this month, and I’ve been trying to participate every day. It’s called #anySTAGEstyleJanuary, and the idea is to post an outfit each day that corresponds with a theme. I’ve cheated a bit and posted some old outfits, but it’s still fun to participate!

Also, before we get started, today is the last day to register for the next Adore Your Wardrobe course, which starts tomorrow, so if you’ve been on the fence, don’t let it slip away! The next one won’t start till sometime this summer.

Alrightythen. Here goes! If you want to follow me on Instagram, I’m @jolynneshane.

Instagram Roundup 01.10.17

This picture is from our last day in Maine: similar sweater // similar coat // similar tote // identical scarf // AG jeans (similar for less) // UGG snow boots //nails: CND Pretty Poison.

I wore this to church a couple weeks ago: coral cashmere v-neck (similar here) // black skinnies // leopard flats // satchel // earrings (old) // adjustable necklace c/o Alex and Ani.

Rainy day outfit: similar sweater // Hudson super skinny jeans // Hunter boots // bracelets and necklace c/o Alex and Ani.

An oldie, but goodie. I posted #TBT outfit last week for #anySTAGEstyleJanuary: similar turtleneck // DL1961 Emma skinnies (similar for less) // beet suede booties // leopard clutch // beaded circle pendant (only $24!) // Moonbow sunnies c/o Maui Jim.

A casual day at home: similar v-neck pullover // AG jeans (similar for less) // similar burgundy suede ballet flats // satchel // monogram necklace, size 3XL.

Snow day! The kids had a 2-hour delay, and then I went out to get my nails done: similar coat // similar tote // similar sweater // DL1961 Emma jeans (old color) // similar scarf // beaded circle pendant // similar Sorel snow boots.

Another casual day at home: chenille cardigan (the pink sold out FAST) // perfect white tee c/o Thirty Something Tees // AG jeans (similar for less) // Tory Burch Minnie Ballet Flats (LOVE!) // layered necklace // kate spade sparkle studs.

I posted this for #anySTAGEstyleJanuary. We were supposed to style stilettos, but it was far too cold and icy for that so I used this picture from last fall. I absolutely adore and highly recommend these Sam Edelman pumps. They’re extremely comfortable, and they look fabulous. The pants and top I’m wearing both sold out.

I wore this to church last Sunday. The cowl neck sweater is probably 10 years old, no joke. The fleece lined ponte knit pants are a few years old, and I haven’t found anything like them since, but I keep them in my closet for the coldest winter days. My teal crossbody has also sold out. I love this color and I’ve carried it to much more than I ever thought I would. The UGG boots are still available at Amazon. I love these. They look sophisticated, you can dress them up or down, and they’re weather-resistant so you can look chic even in icky weather!

Finally, a cozy day at home: navy sweater (great basic!) // AG jeans (similar for less) // plaid scarf // taupe booties.

And that’s a wrap!

  1. Love your roundup & all those looks. Especially the navy/red plaid scarf. We usually see black/red plaid, so that’s a nice change. The burgandy top with the black slim pants and heels is a real stunner. I’d have a hard time picking a favorite out of all of those looks, each one is so different! With the cold weather here in Northeast PA, I’m on the sweater & puffy vest kick, if I need to go out! Can’t wait to see what you & Cyndi have in store for us.

  2. I love seeing the day to day wear, Jo-Lynne. Although there are days, I think it’s harder when there’s a tons of snow or ice on the streets!
But I think that’s where your cute scarves come in!! I don’t always think to throw one on with my coat….I either have one on with my outfit or not, but it’s a great reminder!!
    Happy Tuesday!

    1. These are just super high knee socks, or “over the knee socks” that I picked up at Bloomingdales a few years ago. I think they’re Hue brand, but I cannot find anything quite like them. I looked online for about a half hour, lol, b/c I wanted to link to something similar. Most tall OTK socks online look really thin, and these are thick. I didn’t want to spend the $$ on the Hunter boot liners, and these are perfect. Sorry I’m not more helpful.

  3. Thanks for all the fun ideas! Love seeing what you post daily!! Just wanted to know if you love your LV Bag? Is it the Medium or Large. i have been eying it for quite some time! Thanks!!

    1. It’s the MM and I do love it. I particularly love the Damier Ebene print. I think it’s so sharp. And then the red lining… *swoon* 🙂

I never really wanted one before b/c I like to change out my handbags a lot, and I was afraid I would carry it for a few months and get tired of it, but recently I kept noticing this one on Instagram. The more I thought about it, I decided it’s a bag I’ll use for years, so I put a bug in my hubby’s ear. I was so excited to find it under the tree. I wasn’t sure he’s spring for it. 🙂 The medium size is perfect for me — large enough to put my laptop in if I want to, great for travel, but small enough to carry as an everyday bag. I was afraid if I got the GM, I would only ever use it for travel. I hope that helps!

  4. Loved all those looks. While packing for a Florida trip I realized I needed to do a major purge of my closet which is on my agenda when I return home. I am so the fence about AYW I’m 67 years old, do I really need it at this time of life? Out of shape and paunchy in my middle. Getting old is not for weaklings. Love your blogs JoLynne. God bless you, Sharon

    1. Hey Sharon, there are women of all ages, shapes, and sizes taking the course, and it was really neat watching everyone’s transformations. Being out of shape is certainly no reason NOT to take the class. That said, I don’t want to sound pushy because it is a lot of work at first, so I think people should only invest if they really want to do it and are committed to working through the materials and participating in the group. Does that help at all? 🙂

  5. I like all of the outfits, Jo-Lynne! I am curious if your feet get cold in the ballet flats.

    Have a great day!

    1. Not really, but it’s amazing they don’t because I’m fairly cold natured. When it’s super cold, I put on my UGGs to run out and do errands. I mostly wear the ballet flats around the house this time of year. Right now I have them on, but I’m sitting by my space heater, lol. If I were going out, I’d put on UGGs b/c it’s like 15 degrees. that’s what I did yesterday. 🙂

  6. I tried to order those Scuba pants but they were out of stock. ???? Can you let us know if they come back in stock?
I didn’t receive a post on Monday. Did anyone else have this problem?

    1. Boohoo, I will let you know, but at LOFT, things tend to sell out and stay sold out. 🙁 Do you subscribe to the Daily Emails? I really hope people aren’t going to start having trouble with this new one. Grrr.

  7. Very cute outfits. I love all of them. I really like the navy/red checked scarf. Is it flannel and how heavy/bulky is it? I may have to order that one! 🙂

  8. Hey there, super cute outfits! Any idea which taupe booties you are wearing with the plaid scarf? When I clicked on the link it says page not found.

      1. No worries!!! Thank you….I have RA and was hoping these were a lower heel. Do you have any recommendations for low heeled comfy ones in that color or similiar?

  9. Love your round ups! I am also trying the no sugar no flour.. ugh! Keep plugging away! Really truly enjoy your honesty and humor in your posts!
