Insta Recap #6

Another Sunday, another Insta Recap! I wanted to get this up this morning, but it came down to run or blog, and I chose to run. The weather is so mild here, it is a crime not to get outside and get some miles in!

This week has been a busy one, especially the weekend. I don’t usually have this much of a social life, but the holiday season brings me out of my cave!

I wore this to church last Sunday. This leopard cape is a CAbi piece. I bought it at a trunk show I went to recently. I’ll be sharing more about this outfit in a dedicated post this week.

Leopard Cape: What I Wore

I wore this to meet a friend for lunch on Monday. I stopped at Target afterwards and got my first peppermint mocha latte of the season. YUM. The poncho is sold out, unfortunately.

What I Wore: Splendid Colorblock Poncho

This was a teaser for Monday’s post.

And this was my teaser for Tuesday’s post. This blanket cardigan is going to be on repeat all winter. It’s the perfect cozy sweater with style value.

I took this selfie on Tuesday when I was working from home. Love this cardigan, and the fringe scarf is the perfect accessory. Plus, the slippers have built in orthotics!!! I know! They’re from Abeo. They sent them to me to review, and I LOVE them. They’re lined with shearling.

Another top down selfie. This is what I wore on Thursday to the salon. It’s always cold in there, so I used the scarf more as a wrap.

And yet another blog teaser — this one I posted on Thursday. The jury is still out on this sweater. I ordered a medium, and I’m anxious for it to come in so I can compare.

We finally got our live tree decorated this week. It sat in our garage in a bucket of water for 10 days until we got up the energy to decorate it. All of the ornaments on this tree have a sentimental meaning. Some are from my childhood, some Paul’s dad made, and others have been gifted over the years. I love this tree.

Christmas Tree

I got my nails done on Thursday. I went for this frosty blue, thinking it looked wintry, although all I can think about it when I look at it is Frozen or Cinderella. Ha!

CND Creekside

I wore this easy outfit to work from home on Friday.

What I Wore #OOTD

And this was a teaser for Friday’s post.

Leopard Scarf + Moto Jacket

I took this picture on Friday afternoon before diving into this gluten-free red velvet cupcake. My favorite cupcake shop is closing, and I am sooooo sad.

On Friday night, my husband and I went to Punch Brothers concert at an opera hall in Delaware. I KNOW. Weird. They’re a progressive bluegrass group, and the front man is AMAZINGLY talented, but I don’t care for the sound of the group, plus it was late (they didn’t start till 9PM) and I was achy and sore from a super intense workout on Thursday, AND the venue was cold, so I was pretty miserable. But I still managed to get this selfie. Ha! Priorities, ya know.

Date Night Outfit

Before the concert, we stopped into Sullivan’s Steakhouse for a bite to eat. It was delicious, but we were super rushed, so that was unfortunate.

Holiday Cupcake

This is a selfie I took on Saturday before leaving to meet up with ladies at church for a Bible study. It has been so mild here, it’s crazy! I didn’t even need a coat.

This is my sweet puppy. She loves to sit on the back of the couch. I got these Snowman Pillow Covers at the Pottery Barn Outlet.

I snapped this shot before we ate at Doc Magrograns in West Chester. We always enjoy dinner here, although we got kind of a crappy table last night. The food was still fantastic.

I took this picture this morning on my run. I paused RunKeeper so I could get the shot and not ruin my time. I’ve been a bit lax over the past few weeks, but with this new surge of mild weather, I’ve been going out almost every day. It’s such an incredible blessing to get a second chance at running.

Finally, this is what I wore to church this morning. It is 70 degrees right now. UNHEARD OF!!!!! I wanted to dress light, so I took the opportunity wear this plaid button-down from Stitch Fix. It’s the only plaid I own, and I got quite a few comments at church this morning. I was on nursery duty, so I dressed down a bit.

I spent much of my weekend wrapping presents, and I took this picture this afternoon while I was taking a break with my new HoMedics foot massager and a St. Germaine Cranberry Cocktail. Yes, my presents are all color coordinated. Did you doubt me??? Ha!
