February Favorites + Valentine’s Day Sales

Hello and Happy Valentine’s Day! ????

I thought today would be a good day to share my February Favorites. I started doing this last month; it’s a monthly feature where I share my new favorite finds along with some older tried-and-true products that I’m particularly enjoying at the moment.

Rounding up my February Favorites including my go-to handbag for spring 2017 and the cutest iPhone 7 case!

Let’s dive right in!

#1. Vince Camuto Kensa Peep Toe Booties // I picked these up when I was at the mall on Saturday. I’m so excited for spring, but it will be a while before I’ll be wearing espadrilles and sandals. These will the perfect in-between shoes for those transition months to come, and then I can still wear them through the summer. I love this neutral shade of taupe because it will go with practically everything.

For size reference, I went down to a 7.5 in this shoe! I was shocked. I normally wear 8.5 in Vince Camuto booties, but since these are open, I asked for an 8. My feet were practically swimming in them, so the sales associate went back for a 7.5, and they fit perfectly.

#2. Crate & Barrel Marin Blue Mugs // I recently picked up a set of 4 of these mugs at Crate & Barrel. I love them for my morning (okay, and afternoon and evening) coffee! They’re a great size, and I just think they’re so pretty. Coffee tastes better in pretty mugs, ya know.

#3. kate spade cobble hill mylie in rose cloud // I’ve been on the lookout for a go-to handbag for spring in a light neutral that isn’t grey or cognac. I discovered this bag at Nordstrom on Saturday, and I knew it was the one. I usually don’t buy bags that zip; I prefer a covered magnetic closure for its ease of use, but I decided to overlook that one feature because I love everything else about this bag. The rose cloud is the perfect color because it’s not white or blush or grey or beige; it is some blend of them all, and it will go with anything. The leather is like butter, the strap is the perfect length for wearing on my arm or throwing over my shoulder, and it has just enough slouch to it that it’s not fussy but it’s not too unstructured either.

If you like this style but not the price tag, Target has a great dupe for a fraction of the cost. It comes in 6 colors, including this nice grey.

Speaking of price tags, I usually purchase my designer pieces on sale, and I will always recommend that and continue to share all the great sales as they land in my inbox (like the Kate Spade Surprise Sale last week.) I still buy on sale when I can, but as a fashion blogger, I’ve found that sometimes it makes more sense for me to make these major purchases when they are new inventory so they don’t sell out right away and I can link to them all season. The last few bags I’ve purchased on sale have sold out quickly, so I’m hoping this one is around for a while!

#4. kate spade new york lantern gems ring c/o // I received this ring as a part of a collaboration I’m doing with kate spade later this month. I’m obsessed. It’s the perfect statement ring for spring and summer. It goes so well with all the blush tones that are so popular right now, and I can’t wait to start wearing it.

#5. Sonix Happy Hour iPhone 7 Plus Case ($20!) // I love Sonix iPhone cases. They’re cute but also protective. I had this Happy Hour iPhone case for my 6, and I just found it on sale for the 7Plus. I’ve been using a clear case since I got my 7Plus, so I just ordered this for something fun and different.

#6. CND Winter Glow // I’ve worn this color off and on since I discovered it last summer. It’s a lovely chalky pink that works all year round, but it’s perfect for spring and summer. I’ve been wearing it for the past 2 weeks (I get the Gel, but it also comes in Vinylux) and I love how nicely it goes with everything. It’s neutral enough not to clash with reds and oranges, but it’s pink enough to be feminine and on trend.

#7. Lucky Brand Beaded Hoops // I purchased these for my collab with Lucky Brand last month, and I find myself wearing them so much. I love how they’re big enough to make a statement but they’re not heavy or too fancy for everyday. They have both silver and gold in them so they go with any of my other jewelry, and they’re affordable at $29.

#8. Sanctuary V-Neck Sweater (ON SALE for $42!) // I know I’ve linked to this and featured it a few times, but it is one of my favorite finds this month, and I find myself wearing it a couple times a week. It sold out at Nordstrom, where I bought it, but I found it on sale for $52 at Macy’s plus 20% off with code LOVE, bringing it down to $42. As of right now, it’s fully stocked in the marled silver, which is the color I have. I also really like that marled champagne. The extra 20% off ends today. For size reference, I have it in the small, and it’s plenty roomy.

#9. Sam Edelman Perforated Flats // Perforated leather is suddenly everywhere, and I can see it being a huge trend this spring. It’s been around for a while in handbags, and now we’re seeing it in shoes. I think it’s really fun; the texture adds interest and a hint of femininity to even more rugged styles.

Y’all know how I love and adore the Sam Edelman ballet flats for their comfort and quality, and now they have a perforated version in a bunch of pretty spring colors. The only question is, which color to get??? I can’t decide between that periwinkle blue and the coral. Or maybe the primrose… such tough decisions!

Not pictured (I didn’t have room in my graphic for these, but I want to mention them):

#10. Pleione Stripe Knit Bell Sleeve Top (under $50!) // This top came in my last Trunk Club box that arrived on Saturday, and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was perfect for our early Valentine’s Day dinner out that night. My stylist sent it in the pink smoke and the black, and I kept the black. The red pepper is also really pretty.

#11. Contrast Cuff Crewneck Sweater (50% off!) // You’ve seen this, but I wanted to throw it in here because it’s quickly become one of my favorites. I have the red-ivory stripe (it is definitely more orange than red, but it’s a muted orange — really pretty) and I also love the grey-pink stripe. It comes in some solids as well, for those who don’t like stripes. Definitely size down in this one. I’m wearing the small, and as you can see, it’s still plenty big.

Who has fun Valentine’s Day plans? Paul and I celebrated last weekend, and my daughter has a basketball game tonight, so we’ll be cheering her on tonight. Have a beautiful day!

  1. Hi Jolynne! I love your blog and have been reading it for over a year. I adore the look of the Vince Camuto peep toe bootie but it has a 4 inch heel. Is it comfortable and easy to walk in?

    1. Is it really 4 inches!? It doesn’t feel that tall to me. I usually try to stay at 3.5 or under. Wow, okay, so it does say 4. I didn’t notice. I think because they have the block heel, and there is enough shoe to hold it onto the foot without sliding around, it didn’t feel uncomfortably tall. I haven’t worn them for long (not warm enough yet) but I have a similar pair from fall that I had no problem with – https://rstyle.me/n/ce9tv9gthw.

    1. I have the medium. The small fit too, but I actually liked the way the medium was a little more relaxed. I did a front-tuck so it gives me some shape since it’s cut kind of long and boxy.
