And here we are again! It’s been a roller coaster of a week around here including a few whirlwind days spent at the beach. I didn’t get any photos of my outfits there, but I will probably duplicate them over the next few weeks. We brought our fancy camera and I only got it out once, and that was to take a few photos of the “nightlife” at our hotel. I didn’t get a single people shot of our entire vacation. How pathetic is that!? I got a few fun iPhone photos, most of which made it to Instagram. Otherwise it was a bust photo-wise. But we did have fun. I just hate that I have hardly any photos of the kids enjoying the beach. Oh well! I promise to do better in Maine next week.

As for me and what I wore, I found this one that I never posted when I wore it a few weeks ago so I figured I might as well throw it in here. This easy striped dress was an impulse purchase at the outlets last summer. I wore it around the house and to the grocery store one day earlier this summer. It was the same time that I was working on my How to Wear Neon post, which is why I pulled out this neon yellow bag. Note it matches my nail polish! It’s the little things, ya know.

I have no idea where I went the day I wore this. I think it might have been a lazy Saturday. I do love this top I picked up on sale at White House Black Market. They have some amazing deals right now, although I don’t see this one online anymore. White and denim is so classic for summer; you just can’t go wrong.

I wore this outfit one evening to a church meeting. I received the top and pants from CAbi as a part of a sponsored campaign. I had fun making this bracelet stack. I bought the starfish bracelet at the beach and I’ve been wearing it almost every day. The bag was a birthday gift from my mom, and I love carrying it. I originally thought I’d only carry it when I go out in the evening and don’t want to futz around with a clutch, but I’ve ended up carrying it a lot because it’s so easy to grab and it goes with EVERYTHING. It is the perfect size for a few bills and credit cards, my lipstick, phone and a pack of tissues.

I wore this next outfit to a neighborhood party last weekend. This top is another White House Black Market steal. I love how it floats away from the waist, very forgiving when you’re carrying a few extra pounds. The embellishment gave me pause when accessorizing. I decided to bypass a necklace and just go for statement earrings. These came in my Rocksbox and I enjoyed wearing them with this outfit. I wanted to wear my white Tory Burch Miller sandals, but I knew I’d probably be doing a lot of standing around and they have zero support for my finicky feet so I went for the FitFlops instead.

I wore this old faithful orange dress to church on Sunday. I thought it would be cute with the chambray wedge sandals so I tied in the blue again with this necklace.

Finally, I wore this yesterday to work from home and go to a doctor appointment. Easy and casual with a fun necklace from Paparazzi.

    1. Toms actually has a fairly comfortable footbed. I LOVE the winter wedge booties I have. These are almost as comfortable as those. the strap does kind of cut into my ankle when I walk though.

  1. I just discovered your blog and I LOVE it!
Are the TOM’s wedges the denim color on the Nordies website? Yours look like a lot brighter blue denim.
Do they run true to size?

Thank you for the fabulous outfit inspirations!!!!

  2. Wow, you have great style! I think the Black, White and Yellow is my favorite! Maybe it’s because I just wore that color combination yesterday haha! Oh, I love your hair too, I’ve ben contemplating chopping mine into a bob, but can’t decide…

  3. I adore that striped dress and I’d have bought it too. I purchased 4 Striped Dressed this year alone. Also love the outfit with the coral skinny jeans and with the Striped WHBM Tank. I own a very similar tank from them and many many clothes and jewelry from them. Love White House Black Market. I am seriously loving all those jewelry pieces for 5 bucks though. Totally for me since I am a bargain shopper.

Two more things. I now follow you via Facebook and I want to say that you such a natural in front of the camera, totally yourself and at ease. Loved the video. =)

  5. If someone is looking for the t-shirt dress, Banana Republic outlet has them again this year and they are only $14.99! I didn’t see the exact orange color but they had a pretty red one that is close and other colors too. They even have it in navy stripe if you are looking for a stripe dress….it’s super cute!!!

  6. Hi Jo-Lynne,
Just wanted to let you know I’ve been very envious of the Michael Kors watch you have. I mentioned it to my husband a couple of weeks ago and to my surprise (after he told me to close my eyes) he presented me with the watch today! Love it! Thanks from a Canadian follower….
