Welcome to the first full week of Daily Mom Style, the summer vaca edition! Admittedly my wardrobe hasn’t changed much. I’m still hanging out at home with the occasional fun outing to spice up my life. The only thing that’s different is that I’m wearing a bathing suit almost every day (no pictures of that, thankyouverymuch) and I’ve traded my boots for flip flops.

Casual Summer Style

This first outfit is nothing new, just as casual slub tank from Old Navy and my old faithful cuffed jeans shorts that I’ve had for years. I wore my FitFlops more for comfort than for style. I would typically wear a lighter sandal with this outfit, probably something silver.

I accessorized with my Open Hearts for Amanda necklace, a pair of silver drop earrings and a bracelet from this Haiti fund raiser.

Cotton Summer Maxi Dress

This is what I wore to host my first Stella & Dot trunk show as a stylist on Saturday morning. I wanted to be comfortable so I decided to go for my navy-and-white striped cotton maxi dress. This, by the way, is a great Fourth of July look — navy & white striped dress with red accessories! Done!

Naturally I had to wear Stella & Dot. This is the Sardinia bracelet and earrings and the Rebel Pendant. The red bag is the perfect compliment.

Sleeveless Crochet Tunic with Skinnies

I wore this to run errands and get my hair cut. It’s a wild life I lead, let me tell ya! The temps dropped a bit and the day was nice and balmy in the 70s so I decided to take advantage and wear jeans (these are from Stitch Fix.)

The orange leather wrap bracelet adds a fun punch of color, and the casual style works with the rest of the outfit. The necklace is also from Stitch Fix.

Easy Breezy Summer Shift Dress

I wore this black and white dress to see Evita last week and then I wore it again to church on Sunday. I paired it with black wedges for the theater, but on Sunday I went with the white sandals to dress it down a bit. I really like it with the white. I know I’m not supposed to be wearing flimsy flats, but I couldn’t resist cheating this once. I was just going to church to sit for an hour (and stand and sit and stand and sit…. you get the idea. Not much walking required.)

black-and-white

Yes, same bag and accessories as I wore with the navy and white. I’m feeling the love for red right now. The dress is old; it’s a Maggie London, and I believe I got it at Nordstrom Rack. In fact, that’s where I got the bag too.

Red, White & Blue

Finally, I wore this to a neighborhood World Cup viewing party. We were instructed to wear red, white and blue. I figured it was a good dress rehearsal for the Fourth of July, which is right around the corner! Notice even my nails are festive! Go USA!

    1. Thanks! I don’t carry it much but it suddenly seemed to work with everything I own this week. LOL!!! I don’t think it’s real leather, even though it’s a Cole Haan, so it wasn’t that pricey, esp on sale at Nordstrom Rack.

  1. Looks like Summer! Love the crocheted sweater with the tank under it! Super easy to wear when it is warm, but takes it up a notch!

    Cute!

  2. LOVE that black and white dress! I really struggle to find dresses that don’t make me look pregnant and are kind to my mid section!

  3. I love red right now too and I have been hunting for red shoes ( a wedge sandal to be exact) all week. The ones I like are no longer available (I even calked the company), isn’t that always the way!?!? On to hunt down the perfect red shoe!

      1. I notice there’s a link to a Clark’s shoe…. We just had a Clark’s store open here and I haven’t gone in yet! Do they have good supportive shoes for PF?

  4. Love both of your dresses paired with the red accessories and your red/white&blue outfit!! You are ready for July 4th festivities with those fun nail colors!

    1. It is definitely thin, but I don’t mind it. It’s cool and comfy. 🙂 (Gosh, I hope it’s not worse than I think, lol!) You could wear a tank under it, but that kind of defeats the purpose of cool and comfy.

    1. Thanks, I’ve seen some petite ladies in maxidresses, there must be a way – heels? But yeah, it took me a while to warm up to them, and still, this is my only one. I kind of want another, something dressier in a lighter fabric maybe? I need to look around.

  5. Love all your outfits as usual. What a great idea to wear the striped maxi to your trunk show – it’s a perfect backdrop for all the pretty jewelry. I hear ya on the biking – I tip over every time I try to ride 🙂
