Happy Hump Day! It’s the first week of summer vaca, and we’re feeling lazy and slow. Some of these photos were taken last week when it was rainy so the first few are indoor pix that are sorta grainy. Sorry about that! I wish I was one of those “real” fashion bloggers with super gorgeous photos… how do they do that? Do they have a cameraman following them around or something? That would be nice….

So this outfit was just a casual day outfit, I don’t remember where I wore it. The earrings and necklace are Stella & Dot, and I added the Tory Burch Logo Leather Wrap Bracelet for a fun splash of color.

The black ruffle top is old; I think it was from LOFT. The jeans are from my latest Stitch Fix… they’re Mavi skinnies {similar}. I love black and denim together. It’s so timeless and easy. When in doubt? Wear black and denim. You can’t go wrong.

I wore my Pietra II sandals by Fit Flop from Nordstrom. These are BAR NONE the most comfortable shoes/sandals I own right now. My feet love them. My only complaint is they’re a bit loose. They only come in whole sizes, and I wonder if I should have sized down.

I couldn’t decide if I liked the jeans better rolled or not. I took a picture both ways.

I wore this out to lunch with some girlfriends.

I wanted to wear these sand moto jeans that I love and haven’t worn much (no longer avail, sorry!) A quick glance in my closet, and I knew the blue top was the perfect piece to go with them. I love tan and blue together, and I have this necklace (an impulse purchase at the J.Crew Outlet last summer) that I don’t wear much.

Love this Pleat Neck Top from White House Black Market. Also, it’s double lined. Score! It’s low inventory right now but they have a lot of cute tops worth looking at, and if you get on their mailing list, you will get coupons often.

More black and denim. I’m telling you, I can’t get enough of it!

This is another old black top from LOFT and my AG cigarette-leg jeans. I like the way they look rolled… better than the Mavi skinnies.

I jazzed up this simple outfit with my Sardinia earrings and bracelet from Stella & Dot.

I wore this next oufit to church on Sunday. It’s an oldie but goodie — black maxi skirt (old, from Gap) with orange tank (old, from Banana Republic) and a scarf that pulls all the colors together. The gold earrings and bracelet are Stella & Dot, and the shoes are my trusty FitFlops.

That afternoon I switched into these old Banana Republic shorts and Old Navy coral top (both old) to wear to my son’s baseball game. Love my Stella & Dot Avalon Tote in blush, and those sandals are the Orthaheel Julie Slingbacks. Also very comfy.

Don’t miss my roundup of stylish comfort shoes, if you have finicky feet like I do!

Finally, I threw this on to take my daughter to an early morning orthodontist appointment on her first day of summer vacation, mean mom that I am. This is my latest press sample from Fabletics. I’m totally obsessed with these camo Lima Capris, and the Aventura Top is lightweight and cool although the armholes are cut quite low. I believe it is intended to wear over a colorful sports bra that can show, and Fabletics has tons of those to choose from. Unfortunately I need a heavy duty sports bra so I can’t wear theirs. I just wore my black one so the tops blend together. I also received the Forward Tee in gray, which I love. I’ll be wearing that next week, I’m sure!

Because I’m a dork I accessorized with my Tory Burch Logo Wrap Bracelet and the necklace I got from Stitch Fix. The earrings are Stella & Dot. Pardon the blurry photo… my 11-year-old daughter’s handiwork. I did what I could in photoshop.

  1. All of these outfits are super cute, but that shade of blue on you from the second photo? Looks ahh-maz-ing on you!! Visiting from the WIW link up 🙂

  2. I want all those outfits! 🙂 Cute. The center pic at the top is my fav. You’re right, with black and denim you can’t go wrong.

  3. You look cute & comfy! Do you have any of the reebok skyscapes? Wondering how they would be for PF? I’d like to try some of the fit flops but have a AAA foot so wonder if they’ll be too wide… have a big beach vacation coming up and I’m starting to panic over shoe choice.

    1. No, but I’ve heard good things about the Reeboks. I just don’t know if they have enough cushion for PF. As for flip flops and the beach, that’s a tough one. I love my Reef wedges. They have a lot of cushion, although not necessarily support.

  4. Love the Sunday look! I have a couple long skirt/dresses but always pass them by. I feel like it get tangled in them and they are hot. Think I haven’t found the perfect one yet!
Crazy question….you pull your hair up a lot and it looks great. What’s going on back there??? Where does it go, how do you style it to get it out of the way yet look like it isn’t a hot mess?!?! You have mastered some secret technique!

      1. How funny! You definitely wear it well. Maybe you need to slip a picture of the back on Instagram to show us all the secret!

  5. Seriously Jo-Lynne, these daily mom style posts inspire me SO MUCH. No kidding, they actually help me wear things I already have in the closet in different ways than I would have thought to on my own….(my husband thanks you profusely!) 😀

  6. I think the tan and blue outfit is my favorite. Probably because it’s something I could wear to work. I think I need to try a necklace like that too. I don’t like long necklaces when I’m working because I lean over a lot and feel like they get in the way, but most big necklaces look too big on me. I’ll find something I love eventually!

      1. Thanks for the suggestion! That one would probably work. But I have a horrible time figuring out what jewelry will look good on me without trying it on. To be honest I’ve barely looked at your Stella and Dot stuff because my mom started selling jewelry right before you did, lol. I helped her pick her products for her samples/first order, and picked some things I might like, but until I make it out to Milwaukee to visit and try them they’re hers 🙂

  7. All super cute outfits this week but my favorite is the blue top with the sand color jeans! That blue is definitely your color!

  8. In the first pic love your makeup and your tan looks GREAT! You are definitely ready for summer and vacation. All your outfits look amazing as always.
