fashion-over-40

I don’t have a ton of outfits to show this week. Let’s face it, when your foot is encased in a large black medical boot, it’s not very fun to put new outfits together. Plus, I’m trying to lay low and stay off my foot as much as I can. That said, I had a few events I couldn’t resist attending this week so here’s what I wore. Shopping links are provided through my affiliate partners.

I wore this into Philly on Saturday to a super fun afternoon tea to celebrate the upcoming opening of the Kimmel Broadway Philadelphia’s THE WIZARD OF OZ. I can’t wait to attend the show on opening night, June 3rd. It’s only showing June 3-9 so if you’re local and want tickets, don’t wait around!!!

I wore this next outfit twice this week — first to the mall with my mom on Wednesday, and then because I didn’t get a chance to take photos on Wednesday, I wore it again to church on Sunday. See how efficient I am? Ha!

green jeans

Ah yes, there’s the lovely boot in all its glory.

I’ve had this graphic tee for a few months, I picked it up at the Lucky Brand factory outlet store. I was surprised to discover it went perfectly with my green jeans. The denim jacket helped keep me warm on these cool spring days, and it also breaks up the pattern, which I like.

There are brushed gold studs on the tee-shirt so I went with brushed gold jewelry as well. The necklace is one I picked up at Francesca’s last winter, and the Jackie Link Bracelet is Stella & Dot. My trunk show ends on Friday, if you’ve been wanting to place an order!

accessories

Green jeans must be totally out of style right now because I can’t find a single pair to link you to. If you’re in the market for a pair, I suggest trying a pastel, such as mint or sea foam.

Finally, this was a casual hang-out-at-home outfit. Keeping it simple with a gray tee and cuffed denim bermuda shorts. Both are old, but I did jazz up the outfit with some Stella & Dot . . . surprise, surprise!

I love that these Sardinia Earrings are 3-in-1. You can wear them as studs, as medium chandeliers (the way I am wearing them) or as long chandeliers (there’s another piece that hooks onto the bottom.

The bracelet is fun too. It comes with extenders so it should fit any size wrist.

I love how fun accessories can take a simple outfit from drab to fab in seconds!

  1. Funny how some jewelry can jazz up a simple tee shirt 🙂 I like the Lucky brand outfit as well, but I would’ve paired it with a navy-colored bottom. Navy is a staple color in my wardrobe, and I actually have a cheap-o faux ostrich navy blue purse I got at Target, which I love!!

    1. Yeah, it’s probably overly matchy-matchy with the green jeans, but I wanted to wear the denim jacket, and I don’t really care for bluejean jackets with bluejeans, lol. Might be cute with a khaki jacket and bluejeans… or with a navy cardi too.

  2. I am loving some of your Stella and Dot accessories and I would really like to see you record a video modeling more of the styles! I find that they look totally different on (as opposed to how they appear in the catalog). For example, the video you recorded with the statement necklace with your basic t-shirt on — I would not have imagined liking that necklace when I was looking at it in the catalog but loved it when I saw it on you and saw how it can be worn with basics to make for a nice outfit!! Same with the earrings you are wearing in the bottom picture here! 🙂

    1. it’s true, they always look different on. that’s why it’s fun to have a show and try everything on in real life. 🙂 I can definitely do more videos as I add more pieces!
