Fall Family Fun at the Pumpkin Patch with Riders® by Lee®

Fall Family Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

I’ve been saying for weeks that we wanted to get to one of our local farms for pumpkin picking and apple cider donuts, but it’s no easy task to find a free Saturday with my son’s band schedule and our various church and school activities.

The one Saturday we were all free got rained out so we finally decided to make the most of what time we have, and we took my youngest daughter to a nearby farm last weekend. She’s the one who’s been the most excited about the activity, and she was hoping to pick out her own pumpkin to carve.

She was kind of bummed her brother and sister weren’t there to enjoy it with her, but we all made the best of it. It didn’t hurt that it was probably the most perfect fall day we’ve had so far this year. The weather was incredible — blue skies, brilliant sunshine, and mild temperatures. I was comfortable in a sweater, jeans, and booties; but she was also fine in a short-sleeved top, leggings, and sneakers. Although when we were on the hayride, she was wishing she’d brought a sweatshirt. (I tried to warn her!)

I’m always getting asked for affordable denim suggestions so I was intrigued when Riders® by Lee® sent me a few pairs of their new Bounce Back Denim to try out. They challenged me to capture the spirit of autumn in their jeans with a fun fall family activity.

Y’all know how picky I am about my denim, so I asked them to try the jeans before I agreed to the partnership, and I am seriously impressed. Riders® by Lee® set out to design a pair of jeans that is affordable and allows women to look and feel their best, and their Bounce Back Denim does exactly that. I was surprised and pleased by how comfortable I was wearing these jeans all day.

These figure-flattering jeans are both comfortable and fashionable, AND they retail for less than $20!!! They promise not to bag or sag after hours of wear, and I can attest that they kept their shape even after spending the afternoon at the pumpkin patch and taking a hayride around the farm.

Riders® by Lee® Bounce Back Denim is available at Wal-Mart and Kmart. They’re available in a wide variety of sizes, and they come in skinny, straight, and bootcut styles. I’m wearing the Bounce Back Skinny Jeans in a size 6. I normally wear an 8, so I’d suggest sizing down in these. I’m wearing the Dark Blue, but they also come in Black.

I paired them with a taupe sweater, plaid infinity scarf, and chestnut suede booties. I was probably a bit overdressed for the pumpkin patch, but I felt comfortable and put-together.

Fall Fashion: What to Wear to the Pumpkin Patch

These Bounce Back Skinny Jeans look great cuffed with ankle boots, but they also tuck easily into tall boots, and they’re just as flattering un-cuffed with flats. You can even take them into the evening with a pair of pumps or strappy sandals.

I love it when a product does what it says it does. And when it’s affordable too? Score!!!

These figure-flattering jeans from Riders by Lee are comfortable and fashionable, and they kept their shape even after spending an afternoon at the pumpkin patch.

  1. My step mom (the 60’s model in my blog) has a pair of these and they really are nice!
It’s funny how after we spend more on jeans, we can become a little snobbish about the less expensive ones—but sometimes they are just as great too!!
Great photos at the pumpkin patch—what a fun time!

  2. Awesome post Jo-Lynne! Thank you so much for sharing a pair of low price point jeans. I will definitely give them a try. You & your daughter look great at the pumpkin patch.

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Beautiful fall pictures. And your daughter is a beauty for sure! Interesting review of your jeans. I have to be honest though, I can see a difference in the fit of these jeans compared to the ones you usually wear. The premium ones seem to be a better fit. I’d like to check out the Lee’s, the price is right & you shared a lot of good points regarding the fit & comfort. Thank you!
P.S. The “Snow” word was mentioned in our forecast for Thursday, up here in NEPA!

    1. I didn’t expect $20 jeans to fit and feel like $200 jeans, but I am impressed with what they achieved at that price point. 🙂 And don’t you EVEN say the S-word yet. It is still October!!! I hope you have your snow boots and parka at the ready. 😉

  4. I’ve never bought Lee jeans, but I’ll be trying some on for sure. I believe you look as good in these as you do in the premium denim brands. I’m a little surprised to tell you the truth that these look so stylish! I am excited to try them but you look pretty fabulous in anything and everything, Thanks for showing us a very affordable denim choice!

  5. Jolynne! These look great on you. I really think they look better than most of your premium jeans on you. On you recommendation I picked up a pair of DL 1960 Emma’s which I absolutely love; but seeing these Lees on you i plan on picking up a pair, maybe in black. I’ll let you know how they work out. So glad to see Lee Jeans moving beyond fuddy duddy.

  6. Super cute post at the pumpkin patch! The jeans look nice and I am picky about my jeans, too. Given that, would you wear these again or stick with your favs?

  7. I have worn Lee jeans for close to 50 years because not only do they fit me well, but the price was right and as I worked in manufacturing 38 years, I could easily ruin a pair the first time I wore them. I am pear shaped and the relaxed fit is a great fit for me. I enjoy your blog a lot as I live in Ohio and lead a very casual life style and I get ideas to wear with my Lees!

  8. I love this outfit I’m definitely going to try the Ryder jeans. Thank you so much for the Post so many times we need a pair of just everyday jeans that we don’t have to worry about staining or messing up this is a great idea

  9. Love the sweater and scarf! What brand is your sweater? I have the scarf and would love to have a sweater exactly like the one you have on. You look great as always!

  10. I have to confess: Lee Jeans are all I own! I live in a small town, WalMart is one of the only places to shop. I just haven’t made time to travel to a bigger mall to try on better jeans. I did order some jeans from Loft once, and I find the Lee every bit as good. Their sizing can be a little inconsistent with each style though. I like to purchase in both Short and Medium lengths to wear with different shoes. I can have about 8 pairs for the price of one premium pair! Thanks for the post, now I can feel cool wearing them!

  11. Thanks for doing a post with a more budget friendly denim option. They look great on you and love your pics from the pumpkin patch! I’m definitely checking these out the next time I’m at Walmart 😉

    1. Agreed! You look great, and I love pumpkin patch pictures! And thanks so much for styling the affordable Lee jeans. Since I was a young teen, I’ve always found Lee to be jeans that fit me well. Back when I was young and had a small waist, sometimes they were the only ones that truly fit in the waist AND hips. I remember having a pair with pinstripes which I really liked. They had pleats (Oh, my!) and were quite in style. They were barely long enough on me, and I was so careful with washing and never drying. Great post!

  12. YAY!!!! I’m am SOOOOO glad you chose to model these jeans.,… I am a “young” 52 yr. old 🙂 and am trying to live on less than we make… I love it when you offers us mommies something VERY affordable that is still in style… we can feel good about living on less and still looking good…. xoxoxo you are adorable!!!
