Today I’m sharing my much-anticipated (haha!) Maine summer vacation packing post. I always feel like a fraud when I create packing posts because I am probably the world’s worst over-packer. But hey! I always have all the options I need. In fact, when I do try to pack light and leave some things behind, I always regret it. So anyway, for what they’re worth, here are my best Maine vacation packing tips as well as what I packed for this particular trip.
In addition to sharing the latest fashion trends, the best sales, and wearable everyday outfits, I occasionally post about my travel experiences.
Most of my reviews focus on the accommodations, but I sometimes cover things to do in the area, and I also have a section on Things to Do with Kids.
We enjoy luxury travel accommodations, good food and drink, and cultural activities as well as outdoor activities when we travel.
It’s hard to believe our Maine vacation is already nearing its end. Isn’t it odd how you look forward to something for so long and then suddenly it’s over? While I’ll be glad to be home and get back into my routine, I’ll miss the soothing sound of the lake water lapping up on the shore, the call of the loons, the brilliance of the sunsets, and the lazy days with no sense of time. Today I thought I’d share some pictures of our vacation and more about what we’ve been up to.
Hello, Sunday! It is so nice to see the sun again this morning. I hope you’re all having a great weekend. I feel like I’m finally caught up on sleep and getting my sea legs under me again, so to speak. I was super excited to be invited by Walt Disney World Resort to travel to Florida earlier this week and experience the new and improved Disney Springs with its world class shopping, dining, and entertainment along with
Good morning from the snowy Pocono Mountains! We’re being hosted this weekend by The Inn at Pocono Manor, and it’s so festive and Christmassy here. They’re all decked out for the holidays, and every view out every window is snow-covered mountains and trees and stone buildings. When we were invited to experience the resort and their holiday festivities, our only free weekend was this one, the last full weekend before Christmas. I debated the wisdom of leaving town
Hello, friends. Happy Monday! Today I’m excited to partner with AIG Travel to share my best holiday travel tips and the perfect winter travel outfit. Plus I’m co-hosting a Twitter Party on Thursday where we will chat all things holiday travel related, and we’re giving away four $100 VISA gift cards and a Longchamp extra large travel bag! There’s more info on that at the end of this post. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the holidays are fast approaching, and it’s
A few weeks ago, Mazda invited me to take a southern escape to Montage Palmetto Bluff — a luxury resort in the heart of South Carolina’s Lowcountry. While I was there, I shared a lot on Snapchat, but I also wanted to share a full Montage Palmetto Bluff Review here on the blog, as well as a little about my Mazda experience. Montage Palmetto Bluff: A Luxury South Carolina Resort I have a bad habit of not doing much research before going
Happy Tuesday, friends! I’m back with the 3rd of 5 posts in our Coast-to-Coast Summer Survival blog hop, and today we’re talking about surviving summer travel. Whether you fly or drive, packing for a family can be quite an ordeal, so for today’s post I’m sharing a list of expert packing tips from a frequent traveler as well as my favorite luggage and my go-to summer travel outfit. While our family isn’t jet-setting around the globe on a regular basis, every summer we
