Hello and happy hump day from Pennsylvania!!! Yes, I’m writing from the comfort of home, and it feels wonderful. We got in around dinnertime last night after a remarkably uneventful drive down the East Coast (praise the Lord!) and I’m all unpacked and put away and ready to hit the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I’m headed to the mall this morning to get a sneak peek, and I’ll be posting my Guide to the #NSale first thing tomorrow morning. You can follow along on Instagram (I’ll be posting to my Insta Story while I’m at the mall today) but I don’t think I’ll be able to link to anything until Early Access begins tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, I’m sharing my July Favorites today — this is a collection of new finds and old favorites that I’m particularly loving right now.
I'm a 44-year-old wife and mom of three, sharing my life and style as I navigate the muddy water that is fashion over 40 in the 21st century. In addition to sharing the latest fashion trends, the best sales, and wearable everyday outfits, I occasionally post beauty tips, makeup products and tutorials, and my skincare journey as a women over 40 trying to age gracefully.
One of the fun things about blogging is getting the opportunity to try new products I might not discover on my own, and as an extra bonus I get to share them with you! Today I have another product I’ve been testing out that I want to share with you. I’ve been invited by Olay to take another break from my usual skincare routine, and this time it’s to try their Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.
Summertime is in full swing around here and we’re gearing up for two family vacations next month, so today I’m teaming up with Olay to talk about how to simplify your vacation packing. One of our upcoming trips is spending a week with my parents at their lake-side vacation home in Maine, and the other is a week at the Jersey shore. We’re renting a house just a few blocks off the beach. When I’m on these types of vacations, I’m all about making things easy.
Like so many women, I’m busy juggling a family, work, marriage, friends, and church commitments, so I’m always interested in learning more about a product that claims to give me some time back in my day. If I’m looking for time-saving hacks, I figure you probably are too, so I’m partnering with Olay to test out their Daily Facials Daily Clean 4-in-1 Water Activated Cleansing Cloths and share my experience with you. I don’t know about you, but one of
A few weeks ago, I told you guys about the new Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer I was going to be trying out. This lotion is specifically designed for applying to wet skin immediately after your shower and before toweling off. You can read more about how it works in my first post. Today I wanted to follow up and let you know how it’s been working for me. Many of us suffer from itchy, dry skin, especially in the wintertime. For me, it’s like
Good morning, friends! I wasn’t feeling a Coffee Talk post today so I thought I’d share my March Favorites. I started doing this monthly feature back in January. Basically it’s where I share some of my new finds and some of my old favorites I’ve been enjoying again lately. #1. Denim Ghillie Flats // Denim shoes are a big trend this spring, and I thought these lace-up flats were adorable. Mine just arrived yesterday, and I’m in love. They have a
I’ve struggled with dry skin my whole life. I’ve tried more lotions and creams than I care to count, and I’ve tried to be consistent with drinking enough water and taking fish oil supplements (that’s a losing battle!) I don’t shower every day during the colder months, and I try not to take super hot showers, but sometimes I can’t resist. No matter what I do, my skin is dry and flaky and often itchy. This is one of the main
