April 2014 Glossybox Review #BeautyBuzz

Yes, it’s May. I am sorely delinquent in bringing you this review of the April 2014 Glossybox, but you know what they say. Better late… So! Here is what was in April’s Glossybox.

April 2014 Glossybox

This is my second month of receiving the Glossybox subscription, and I am officially addicted. It’s so much fun to try new products, and the value of this box was close to $50 — while the subscription plan is $21/month. You can’t beat that!

Every month you get their gorgeous signature box containing 5 high-end sample or full-size beauty products to try. I’m still using samples from my March Glossybox, and I’ve already been trying out most of the products from this April box.

I cannot WAIT for May because it’s a special edition box containing a $25 gift card to Bergdorf Goodman along with some super special products to try. You can subscribe here through my affiliate link, if you’re interested.

But back to April. I put together a quick video, showing you the products I received.

I was thrilled with the full-size Ciaté London Paint Pot — a nail polish that comes in the most adorable bottle with a bow. They sent different colors out, and I received the Skinny Dip — a sparkly orange that I’m wearing right now. It’s super fun, and it goes on really nicely.

I absolutely adore the Aqua Spa Relax Body Crème. It applies beautifully, silky and soft and not at all sticky. The lavender/camomile scent is pleasant but not overpowering. It’s supposedly formulated to help stimulate cell renewal, enhance skin elasticity, strengthen skin, boost collagen, and keep skin hydrated. I love that it contains no parabens AND it’s made in the USA. Definitely a fab gift idea if you know someone loves body lotions.

The Bellápierre Cosmetics Vanilla Pink SUPER Gloss is another new fave. I love the frosted mocha color, and it goes on smoothly and isn’t sticky at all and it contains a natural lip plumper, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide. This is a full-size product that retails for $24.50, so right there is worth more than the cost of my entire Glossybox.

The LA Splash Cosmetics Eyeshadow Sealer/Base is a full sized product of $12 value. It definitely intensifies the color of the eye shadow when you apply it, but I didn’t feel like it had the best staying power. I have other eye shadow primers that I like better.

Finally, the Caldrea Body Wash is lovely. It isn’t as invigorating as the bath bar I got in March, but it has a light, fresh scent that I really enjoy.

So far, I’m really enjoying this subscription. Again, if you’re interested, here’s the link.
