Day 15 of 28 Days of Winter Outfits

Today it’s 9 degrees outside plus 50 mph winds. Needless to say, my outfit today is ALL about staying WARM. I didn’t have to think twice before I grabbed my black fleece-lined skinny pants and a poncho out of my closet.

Also, pardon the crappy indoor pictures. The fill-flash is a bit glaring.

I decided to wear a red shirt underneath to match my nails. All of my larger earrings interfered with the big turtleneck so I had to resort to simple studs, even though I wanted something more eye-catching near my face, and I wore my silver heart charm bracelet stack from J.Jill.

As for my coat, putting a coat on over a poncho isn’t easy, but there was no way I was going coatless in this weather so I managed to get my favorite parka on. I lost my favorite texting gloves so I had to settle for these blue ones from Target last year. The black riding boots seemed like my best bet, although I think brown might look nice with this outfit for a bit of contrast.

I don’t have shopping links for most of these items, but if you’re in the market for a winter coat, Nordstrom has a great sale going on right now. I got the poncho at a local shop called Best Friends. Unfortunately I can’t find anything like it to link you to. And same with the fleece-lined pants, which are FANTASTIC, by the way. I adore these pants. I got them from Goodnight Macaroon last year.

  1. You look nice and toasty warm. The blue gloves are just enough to brighten up your neutral look. Every time you look at your hands, you’ll smile. Love that purse!
