You guys. The 2014 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public tomorrow, and they have all their new fall merchandise discounted for one week only! This is the time to start thinking about back-to-school shopping and your fall wardrobe staples.
Hey, don’t shoot the messenger!
I’m not anymore ready for fall than the next person, but I don’t mind taking advantage of a good deal or three in preparation for the next season.
Nordstrom card holders have had early access to the famed Anniversary Sale for about a week already, and I’ve been perusing the site and of course I’m going to share with you! If you DON’T have a Nordstrom card, this might be a great time to take the plunge. I don’t carry many store cards, but this is one I will not part with. (And I am not being paid to say that, I just think they have great rewards benefits!!)
If you don’t feel the Nordstrom love, you still might get ideas for fall trends that you can use where ever you shop, but don’t automatically assume that Nordstrom carries only high-end merchandise. They have quite a variety of price points, and there are many bargains to be had when they start putting things on sale.
Here are some of my top picks. (Click on the photos to get to the Nordstrom website.)
A cashmere sweater for less than $100!? Yes please! This is such an essential fall wardrobe piece, and I love the color choices. I read somewhere that the pastel trend is carrying through to fall and I’m definitely seeing that reflected in some of the fall merchandise. There are some richer tones as well.
This Tory Burch tote is a total splurge-worthy bag. The “bark” color is neutral and perfect for anytime of year but especially fall. Yes, the price tag might take your breath away, but if an investment bag is on your shopping list, this one is worthy of consideration.
And I’m so excited to see these high-rise skinny jeans by Joe’s, one of my favorite designer brands. Just say no to muffin tops!
Or if you like the boyfriend style, these by Rag & Bone look fantastic. Yes, these prices are high, but you really get what you pay for when it comes to designer denim.
I’m totally crushing on these Tory Burch thong sandals . . . LOVE the animal print.
I can always justify more workout wear, and this hoodie by Zella is a great price. Wouldn’t this be adorable with black yoga pants and colorful sneakers for walking the dog or working from home on a crisp fall day?
I own these and I loooooooooove them. (They are not that short on us mere mortals.) And this is a huge markdown for A.G.
You know how I love Rebecca Minkoff bags, and this studded tote is DIVINE…
Okay, I’m clearly a tote girl, but if your more of a satchel girl, this Michael Kors bowling satchel in claret (also available in black and luggage) is perfect for fall.
Ankle boots are still hot this fall, and I love the quilted detail on these by Steve Madden.
And this is a great moto boot for just $89. It’s leather and it gets great reviews.
LOVE this Caslon tunic. This is already in my shopping cart. How cute and comfy will this be with leggings!?
This is one classy watch. Loving the rose gold accents.
Oh but this . . . see? They even have UGG on sale right now!?? These are calling my name.
And finally, I will end with a handbag because they are my joy and my passion. This one MIGHT be on its way to Pennsylvania right now . . . just sayin’.
I hope you had fun window shopping with me! And if you’re in the market for some new fall duds, be sure to put your picks into your shopping basket so you can come back tomorrow and purchase before they sell out or go back to full price! Here are even more items to consider.
